Contact Marcia
Marcia Wolff earned a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Southwestern College located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Here, the focus is transforming consciousness through education with a holistic and Jungian emphasis. The expressive arts, creativity and spirituality as well as insight and process therapy are unique ways to provide therapeutic and inspirational guidance. These modalities can help to tap into the unconscious mind. A year long study in the history of consciousness impacted Marcia with regard to ego consciousness (the conditioned self) and soul consciousness (the true/authentic self). This is the area that has called her to listen within and guides her in life and in her creative projects.
Marcia is the author of a book of poems, a memoir, titled Frictions Becoming Pearl: a Slow Awakening. She earned a Bachelors Degree in English Literature from the University of Texas at San Antonio. To keep her soul alive, she paints and creates collages using acrylics, fabrics, papers and jewels. She writes articles on art, music and the spirit, Soul Connections for the ATENCION, a bilingual weekly paper in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She is presently writing a novel, the working title is The Rarest of Gems.
As a psychotherapist, Marcia counseled and was the director of a domestic violence program. In her private practice, she worked with couples, families and individuals often using art and poetry therapy. She led relationship groups, Loving Yourself, Loving Another and workshops in understanding our conditioning as men and women. She trained as a facilitator in a yearlong study in gender reconciliation and communion through Satyana Institute now called Gender Reconciliation International.
